This is the only government medical College(In diploma lebel) in Bangladesh which showed its excellence in the field of Unani  education, health care and research. The academic session was started in 19454 in Asam government 70 no. batch is running. The campus is situated in the one-acre area of land, having a green-field campus and excellent academic atmosphere at Shahjalal uposhohor Sylhet. We have an adequate number of teachers, well-organized departments, Outdoor hospital, enriched library, production & research unit, the hostel for male students.

We offer four years DUMS  course with a six mounth compulsory internship.  Degrees are recognized in Bangladesh and this institution is under the Board of Unani & Ayurvedic Systems of Medicine of Dhaka.
